Coach Colin Beattie
Senior Coach

Coach Colin has been a swim coach since 1986 and has worked with some of the largest swim teams in Canada. Coach Colin is a certified National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 3 Senior Coach, an American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA) Level 3 Swim Coach, and has completed the majority of tasks required for his NCCP Level 4 Swim Coach certification. Coach Colin holds a Diploma in High Performance Coaching from the National Coaching Institute (NCI) in Victoria, a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University in Toronto, and a Certificate in Coaching from York University in Toronto. Coach Colin is a member of the Coaching Association of Canada (CAC) as a Chartered Professional Coach (ChPC), the Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA), and is a Lifetime Plus member of the American Swim Coaches Association (ASCA).

Coach Amanda Little
Junior Coach

Coach Amanda has been coaching competitive swimming since 1991, and has coached both nationally ranked age group swimmers and provincial swimming champions. Coach Amanda is a certified National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 2 Age Group Coach, and has completed the majority of the requirements towards her NCCP Level 3 Senior Coach certification. Coach Amanda holds an Honours degree in Psychology from York University in Toronto, and is a member of the Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA).

Coach Gaby Arana
Novice Coach

Coach Gaby has been a swimmer with Penguin Swimming since 2009, and is a former 200FL Provincial finalist. Coach Gaby is a certified National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1 Fundamentals Coach, and is currently pursuing a Psychology degree from the University of Alberta. Coach Gaby is also a member of Penguin Masters Swimming, and a member of the Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA).

Coach Dana Penner
Rockhopper Coach

Coach Dana has been a Penguin Swimming coach since 2004 and is a certified National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1 Fundamentals Coach. Coach Dana holds multiple degrees from the University of Alberta, is currently a masters swimmer with Penguin Masters Swimming, and is a member of the Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA).

Coach Heather Larson
Substitute Coach

Coach Heather has been a swimmer with Penguin Masters Swimming since 2004, is a certified National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) Level 1 Fundamentals Coach, and is a two time Fast Eddie Award winner with Penguin Swimming. Coach Heather holds Physical Education and Education degrees from the University of Alberta, is presently pursuing a PhD from the University of Alberta in Physical Education. Coach Heather is currently masters swimmer with Penguin Masters Swimming, and is a member of the Canadian Swim Coaches and Teachers Association (CSCTA).
