Colin Beattie 
Director of Swimming, Head Coach

Co-founder of Penguin Swimming, coach Colin returns as the team’s Director of Swimming for his 13th season, is a fully certified NCCP Level 3 Swim Coach, has completed many tasks towards his NCCP Coaching Level 4/5 certification, and has coached with a number of the top swimming programs in Canada. In 1995, Colin was named the Head Swimming Coach at the Ontario Winter Games, holds a Specialized Honours degree in Kinesiology and Health Science from York University, a Certificate in Coaching from York University, and a Diploma in High Performance Coaching from the National Coaching Institute in Victoria, BC.

Amanda Little 
Assistant Head Coach, Age Group Coach

Coach Amanda returns to Penguin Swimming for her 13th season and has coached both Nationally ranked Age Group swimmers and Ontario Provincial Champions. Amanda is currently a fully certified NCCP Level 2 Swim Coach, while having completed both the Theory and Technicalcomponents of her NCCP Coaching Level 3. Amanda has coached for numerous swim clubs including the ACE Swim Club and Island Swimming. Amanda holds an Honours degree in Psychology from York University.

Kristin McFarlane 
Novice Coach

Coach Kristin returns to Penguin Swimming for her 4th season as the team’s Novice coach at Eastglen pool. Kristin is woking on completing her NCCP Level 1 Skills Coach certification and has previously coached with the Campbell River Salmon Kings, Campbell River Killer Whales, and swam with the Nanaimo Riptides Swim Club. Kristin presently swims for Penguin Masters swimming, and is completing her Physical Therapy degree at the University of Alberta.

Kim McCall
Novice Coach

Coach Kim is in her 1st season coaching with the team, and will be in charge of the team’s Novice program at Eastglen pool. Kim is woking on completing her NCCP Level 1 Skills Coach certification, and has previously swam with the Olympian Swim Club and Penguin Masters Swimming. Kim is presently completing her Sociology degree at the University of Alberta.
